Why does Outlook fail to send emails after I delete the distribution list from the control panel?

Answer:

Outlook caches the ID number of the distribution list. When the list is deleted and another one is created, a new ID is generated. Outlook may still refer to the old ID, which has been deleted from the control panel.

To resolve this issue, the user should manually enter the full email address in Outlook and avoid selecting the cached entry.
